The holiday season is finally here so let the shopping frenzy begin! This will be our first Christmas with Kai and I am so excited for all the things I have in mind for getting him. I want to share with you all today some of my ideas + lots of amazing Black Friday deals that are going on right now! So without further ado...my holiday gift guide for babies!
1. Noah the dog - cuddle + kind $50/$70
I absolutely love these cuddle + kind knit dolls for babies. I got Kai Sebastian the lamb for Easter and he absolutely loves it. As were rounding in on his 1 year birthday and he's going to be able to sleep with something cuddly in his crib at that point I wanted to get him another one of these knit dolls. He adores puppies, so I thought Noah would be the perfect choice! The best part about cuddle + kind though is they are all hand knitted by mamas like you and me and with each doll purchased, 10 meals are provided to children in need around the world. BUT for today only they are doubling their offer and will be doing 20 meals per doll sold!
2. Bath Toys - Amazon $5.40
Kai loves baths so much and we recently just switched to bathing him in the actual bath tub. So that means it's time for some more bath toys! We're a big Disney family so these Finding Nemo toys would be perfect for bath time in our house. They're currently on sale on Amazon right now, too! Marked down to just over $5 from $11.
3. Bath Robe - Pottery Barn Kids $23.97
With winter coming it's important to keep our baby bears warm, especially after a bath and what's more perfect than a cute little baby robe!? We usually just wrap Kai in a hooded towel but I think a cozy bath robe is in order now that he's a bit bigger, don't you? This robe from Pottery Barn Kids is on major sale right now too at 50% off.
4. Jacket - The North Face $55
Kai already has a nice puffer jacket for winter, but the downside about it is that it's too bulky for him to wear while in his car seat. So anytime we go out and it's really cold now we have to put it on him when we get there. Which takes forever just to walk in to a store and be outside for less than a minute. But it's important that he's covered up and not cold! So my solution for this is getting him a nice and warm North Face fleece jacket that will keep him warm but isn't too bulky that's safe for him to wear while he's bulked in to his car seat!
5. Xylophone Toy - Amazon $17.43
Of course Santa has to bring the Bear some toys! Kai loves music and banging things, so you can't get much more perfect that a xylophone! He doesn't have one of these yet so I think something like this one from Amazon definitely makes his Christmas list. Plus it's on major sale on Amazon right now marked down to just over $17 from $30!
6. Clothes - Zara, H&M, Gap
Kai can expect all the cute sweaters from Zara, H&M, and Gap for Christmas. I just know I'm going to go crazy this weekend with all the amazing sales going on. I need to stock up big time for his upcoming 12 month marker because he's pretty light in that size in his closet right now! Gap is currently having 50% off everything so go snag as much as possible!
7. Books - Amazon
Kai loves to "read" so much. He has a huge basket of board books and pretty much every day they all end up scattered around our living room. He enjoys looking through all the pictures and having me read the stories to him. So I think we will definitely be adding to his collection along with Santa ;)
8. Moccasins - Freshly Picked $54
Don't tell Kai, but I already ordered these for him along with some more Mickey shoes! Freshly Picked is my absolute favorite place to get shoes for Kai because they fit him so well and actually stay on his feet. They are currently having their half yearly sale right now too and everything on their site is discounted up to 50% off. Plus if you join their program called The Fringe, you will receive an additional 20% off your order! I used up my saved credits that I had stacked up and with the current sale + my 20% off ended up getting him 2 pairs of shoes for $20!
9. Mickey Sorting Cube Toy - Amazon $15.99
It's no secret that Kai really loves Mickey and will do an excited scream over anything with Mickey on it. So any toy with Mickey on it will be a hit for him. I've had my eye on this sorting cube toy because they are so good for baby's brain development and will keep them busy for awhile. Having Mickey on it is a big added bonus for us, too.
10. Peek-a-boo Elmo - Amazon $32.26
So Kai actually already has this Elmo toy but he loves it so much that I wanted to recommend it to all of you! If you press Elmo's foot, he'll play peek-a-boo for about a minute and a half with your little one! Kai really loves Elmo, too, and he gets so excited when we pull this toy out for him. Another great one to add to the list for Santa!

Guys, our tiny dapper fox is 7 years old today! This little pup has brought so much joy in to our lives. He really is our first baby. He's taught us how to be more patient, loving, and care for another. He's been here for it all. The happy, the sad, the losses, and the gains. Wrigley truly is my best friend. I was chatting with my family a few weeks ago about Wrigley and how he is my biggest support. Of course I am so grateful for Caleb, my mom, my family, and my friends and they are always here for me too but any time I'm upset about something, not feeling well, or even so happy for any random old reason, it's always Wrigley that's there for me. In fact, he's snuggling with me as I write this. He is my constant and the most incredible, loyal, dog I could ever imagine having in my life. I love you more than I can ever explain, Tiny. You're the real MVP.
Hey there beautiful friends! I'm SO happy you're here today because today is a very special day for us...this little blog is ONE! I started this blog last November and it has truly brought so much joy and creativity in to my life and I have all of you to thank for that!
I've grown so much in the last year, it kind of blows my mind. To think when I started this blog I was still a mama to be is actually kind of unbelievable to me because I can't imagine my life without Kai and being a mom. I don't mind being defined as a mom at all. It is truly my calling and I honestly love who I've become in the last year. That's the first time in my life that I've been able to say that, I think. To be proud of who you are is so freeing. I start each day so full of happiness and am constantly motived to be the best version of myself possible.
Writing this blog, taking photos, connecting with all of you through social media, my Tiny Talks, and the Tiny Tribe brings me so much positive energy. I look forward to each and every blog post that I publish and literally get giddy when I hit the POST button. I've had the amazing opportunity to work with some incredible brands, too and thank all of them so much for recognizing the love and hard work that goes in to this blog. I joke that I have 3 jobs. My day job, being a mom, and being a blogger and I love all 3 of them so much. I wouldn't trade any of this for the world! I've put my hand at this blogging/website thing in the past (Yellow Mondays + This Boundless Journey, anyone? ha!) and I always get tired of what I'm doing long before this point. Tiny Dapper Fox though has not reached that point for me, and I am so grateful to have finally found my creative space that brings so much light in to my life.
Even though I've felt more joy in this last year then I ever have in my life, it hasn't come without challenges. I've certainly had my struggles, the two biggest ones being my postpartum anxiety and the loss of my dad. Life is not simply just happy or sad, it's so complex and learning how to deal with the ups and downs is just a part of it. When my dad got sick I was just getting over my crippling postpartum anxiety. For the last 5 months or so I've felt like I've been in a spinning vortex. I've been trying to climb my way out of it but life was spinning very very fast at some points that I just couldn't. This little blog and my family kept me from being lost though. Without you all, I feel like I would be numb and in the unknown. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart for being here. Whether you've been here the last year or even if you've just joined me, thank you so much for being a part of Tiny Dapper Fox.
Happy Friday, friends! Once again, apologies for the late Halloween post but I still wanted to share our costumes with you guys! Better late than never, right? We can just file it away for future Halloweens, too! Caleb and I really like to DIY our Halloween costumes; we have so much fun putting them together ever year. He grew up with an amazing mom who literally made all of his costumes, which I think is so special. While I'm not that good, I do pride myself on searching for cheap items to bring a costume together well and crafting parts of them! This year we did Peter Pan as a family for Kai's first Halloween! I was Tinker Bell, Kai was Peter Pan, Caleb was Captain Hook, and Wrigley was Mr. Smee. I absolutely loved how they turned out and want to share with you how we made them!

Hi all! Once again playing catch up here today! Last week, Kai turned 9 months old! He had his 9 month check up at the doctor earlier this week and he is doing so well! Here is our monthly little round up of all things Kai!
Weight: 17 lbs 14 oz
Height: 27 in
Little boy, you LOVE to eat! We haven't found a single food you don't like yet. This last month you started eating meat! So far you've had chicken, pot roast, brisket, and bacon. Brisket was definitely your favorite and I don't blame you one bit. Dad's proudest moment of your life though is when he took you out to lunch a few weeks ago and you had pho for the first time. You absolutely loved it and you made Daddy so happy! We're still nursing, too, and I still love it so much. It really is our special time together.
This last month was full of fall adventures, too! Mom and Dad celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary and celebrated with you up in Milwaukee! We went out to dinner at our favorite restaurant up there called Onesto. We also went to the Chicago Botanic Garden's fall festival and bulb sale! We walked around the garden, got some bulbs to plant in our garden, and did a little bit of shopping from the local vendors. The following weekend we went pumpkin picking! You picked out your very own pumpkin to carve on Halloween! Our last fun event of the month was going to the Spooky Pooch Parade with Wrigley at the Chicago Botanic Garden. We all dressed up in our costumes and walked Wrigley around the garden! You were Peter Pan, Mom was Tinker Bell, Dad was Captain Hook, and Wrigley was Mr. Smee.
You're still a little speedster with crawling! You crawl all over the place these days and we actually have to run after you to catch you. Last week you also stood up on your own for the first time! I thought you were just playing with your toy basket on the bookshelf but then Dad goes, "oh my gosh look at him!" And you were standing up, looking through the basket! You and Wrigley are the best of friends, too. You love to play tug a war with him and he brings you toys to play with all the time.
You're still a toothless little guy but your bottom ones are almost there. I'm ok with it though because I love your gummy smile so dang much. You are still an amazing sleeper and I'm so grateful for how adaptive you are with where you sleep. You've started to finally appreciate your naps and you put yourself right to sleep every night! You're currently sleeping about 3 1/2 hours during the day and 10 hours at night.
Your laugh is so infectious and you've truly been such a joy during a very difficult month. Your smile fills me with such warmth and I am just so thankful for you! Love you so much little Kai Bear, so very much.
