Happy Monday, friends! I hope all of you are staying cozy and well at home these days! We've been trying to find gratitude and comfort during these strange times of having to stay at home through enjoying the wonderful quality time we're getting with each other. I was actually thinking last week how I'm getting maternity leave I wish I had with Kai. By the time I'm going to be back in the office, Finn is going to be over 6 months old. I'm able to nurse him and spend all my days watching him grow and do all the adorable baby things...which is truly incredible! Even though it can be overwhelming at times, it's also amazing to be spending this time with my little guys and Caleb. In a way, it's the best of both worlds...getting to do the work I love but also have all the quality family time in the world right now. Finding joy in the chaos...right!?
Finn turned 4 months old a couple of weeks ago! This is honestly my favorite age and I just can't believe how much I love him. He's so interactive these days and just so fun!
Weight: 15 lbs
Height: 25 in Finn, you're my dream baby. You eat so well and sleep even better. You did another merge this month and now we're down to 5 feedings a day! You're still nursing and I'm so grateful that I'm able to be home with you 24/7 now to keep our journey going strong. You sleep all night long and love your naps, too. You rarely wake up early and are so good at just putting yourself to sleep. Literally...DREAM BABY! You are the happiest baby I've ever met and I know it's because you eat and sleep so well.
Adventures are pretty non-existent right now because of the whole COVID-19 quarantine happening. We did go to the botanic garden for my birthday though before all this stay at home stuff happened! You snuggled up in one of our slings and we explored the orchid exhibit. Other than that, we've just been hanging out at home! The weather is finally getting nicer out though, so we've been spending lots of time in our backyard. You and I snuggle up with a blanket while your big brothers explores.
Your relationship with Kai these days is incredible. Your first laugh was when Kai was straddle walking over you. You thought it was the funniest thing and your little laugh is so beautiful. You love laying on a blanket and having Kai bring you things to hold. Every night after you finish your bottle and we're done reading Harry Potter, Kai gets so excited to hold you and give you a kiss goodnight. You guys are becoming best friends already, and it is the most amazing thing in the world to see.
You are so good at tummy time these days! You stay propped up for so long now and you're almost rolling over! You like sitting up in between my legs, too. You're grasping lots of toys and you make the most adorable cooing sounds. We chat all the time and it never fails to make my day better.
Seriously Finn, these Wrigley photobombs are some of my favorite photos of all time...especially the one with your sly little smile and Wrigley in the background with the look of "this kid" on his face...ha! You are the brightest light in my life. I am so grateful for you and I still can't believe you're mine. I love you more and more every day...more than I ever thought was possible in this life. Thank you for being the amazing little human you are. I love you so much, little bug!
